Tarmac is recruiting a Brick Cutting Operative for our Linford Block Plant in Essex. This is a permanent, full‑time role working a 24/4 shift pattern (Mon–Thu). Our plant manufactures sustainable, tough aerated blocks used widely in homes and commercial buildings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Meeting daily production target requirements
  • Reporting data for quality purposes
  • Moving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehicles
  • Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround
  • Continuous improvement of performance standards
  • Continuous improvement towards plant and production methods
  • Good housekeeping
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a Fork‑Lift Truck Operative, Multi‑Skilled Operative or Labourer in an industrial setting. Good communication skills, a willingness to learn and a strong team‑working attitude are also essential – full training will be provided.
