About the Role
Reporting into the Assistant Manager for Record to Report, the successful Systems Accountant will be assisting the Finance teams in constantly pushing the boundaries of what our software can do for Tarmac. You will take charge of all financial modules, managing issues, promoting improvements and supporting ad-hoc reporting demands. You will be someone who can demonstrate a strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, has strong stakeholder management skills across all levels and be well-organised.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you as the successful Systems Accountant will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Project support - working with the Assistant Manager on R2R Projects
- Previous business partnering experience across finance which is a key part of the control
- Working on month end close activities in our accounting systems
- Working on the delivery of reliable and accurate accounting information and reports within specified timelines
- Ensuring efficient, effective and proper use of our ERP system
- Increasing system knowledge and collaboration across users and departments
- Advising in the effective use of technology to enable process improvement and financial compliance
Please note that this position is for a 12-month fixed-term contract

- Systems experience (particularly in SAP)
- Previous business partnering experience across finance
- Experience of analysing and translating financial requirements into application solutions
- Is able to demonstrate a record of delivering improvements, troubleshooting and project-based work
