We’re looking for a Sourcing Analyst to play a key role in shaping how our national supply network operates. This is a highly commercial, data‑driven position where your insight will directly influence profitability, efficiency and customer service across multiple manufacturing sites and distribution points. Working within the national Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework, you’ll analyse production capacity, transport costs, product specifications and customer requirements to identify the most cost‑effective source of supply.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for optimising supply source decisions across the national network, ensuring the right product is delivered from the right place at the right cost. You’ll analyse customer orders and supply options, balancing production costs, transportation expense, capacity constraints and service requirements to determine the most economical solution. A key part of the role involves maintaining and refining the Sourcing model, including cost and revenue analysis, reason code tracking and monitoring non‑optimal or cross‑border deliveries. You’ll regularly review production capacity and network footprint, identifying constraints and opportunities, and making recommendations to improve utilisation and efficiency. You’ll also produce weekly and monthly reports that highlight performance trends, compliance with optimal supply decisions and opportunities to improve margin. You’ll work closely with commercial, operations, logistics and planning teams to investigate deviations from optimal supply, quantify financial impact, and drive practical improvements. You’ll also contribute to the monthly S&OP process, providing analysis, insight and clear recommendations to support effective decision‑making.

As part of a continuous improvement mindset, you’ll support the development of dashboards and analytical tools using platforms such as Power BI and Anaplan, helping to increase visibility, strengthen governance and improve supply chain decision‑making.

We’re looking for someone who is naturally analytical, commercially aware and comfortable working with complexity. You’ll be curious, detail‑focused and motivated by solving optimisation problems using data and insight. You’ll bring experience in supply chain planning, operations analysis, business analysis or a similar analytical role, with a strong track record of working with data, building reports and supporting business decisions. Advanced Excel skills are essential, and experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is highly beneficial. Familiarity with ERP or planning systems such as SAP or Anaplan will be an advantage. You’ll understand how supply decisions impact cost, service and margin, and be able to translate analysis into clear, practical recommendations. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be working with a range of stakeholders and presenting insight to both operational and senior audiences. A degree in a relevant analytical discipline — such as supply chain, operations, engineering, business, data analytics or mathematics — is essential, with professional or process‑improvement qualifications considered a plus. Above all, you’ll be collaborative, resilient, adaptable and keen to continuously learn and improve how things are done.

Benefits include:

  • Enhanced holiday entitlement
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.
  • Access to the Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential advice
  • Access to join our Employee Communities (employee networks)
  • Training and development opportunities
