We’re currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative at our asphalt plant in Snodland, Kent. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of the site, including mixing asphalt using advanced computer systems, operating the weighbridge, driving mobile plant, and supporting various site operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reporting to the Section Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping the team meet production targets and maintain high standards across the site.
- Collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality materials and timely deliveries to customers.
- Supporting production goals and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Operating mobile plant and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conducting inspections and taking action on any defects.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the site.
- Adhering to all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
- Ensuring the plant meets all safety and operational requirements.
This site operates on a 24/5 production schedule, so flexibility is essential. Overtime is available to support production needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in Asphalt, Readymix, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong IT skills – essential for operating our systems.
- Previous experience with mobile plant operations – highly desirable.
- A valid Shovel License – a big plus.
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn – training will be provided for the right candidate.
