We have an exciting opportunity here at our Tarmac Mortar Plant at Harper Lane. We are currently looking for an Operative to join their team.
Main Responsibilities
- Reporting to our Plant Manager, the successful Operative will be responsible for actively participating and taking ownership of activities to ensure plant safety, plant availability, production output and quality.
- Meeting daily production target requirements.
- Reporting of data for quality purposes.
- Moving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehicles.
- Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround.
- Continuous Improvement of performance standards.
- Good housekeeping.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment. Ideally we are looking for experience with the following: Forklift Truck Operative, Multi-Skilled Operative or Labourer. Although training will be given as well to the right person, you should possess good communication skills and have a genuine desire to develop both operative and supervisory skills. You may be asked to work at alternative sites to help support our other plants when needed, which may require staying away for a few nights.
