We are currently looking for an Estates Surveyor to join our team. The department head office is based at The Hub, Mountsorrel, Leicestershire; however, we can offer a range of office locations throughout the UK and we offer a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will be able to work within a team and under their own initiative while working remotely.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day estate management matters on freehold and leasehold industrial and commercial property.
  • Negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews with landlords and their agents.
  • Generating rental income on Tarmac’s land portfolio.
  • Assisting with property-related costs, including repair and maintenance.
  • Instructing and managing external consultants and agents.

Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in the role of Estates Surveyor, you'll need to be available for UK-wide travel and have experience of:

  • Industrial and commercial property ownership and occupation in the UK, including landlord and tenant legislation.
  • Industrial and commercial property market agency in the UK.
  • Negotiation of rent reviews, lease renewals and general estate management matters.
  • Mineral and aggregates related property experience is of interest, but not essential.
