If you have strong leadership experience from a similar operational environment, we'll provide full product and industry training.What You’ll Be DoingAs Plant Supervisor you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our ReadyMix plant ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, customer service and operational performance. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll manage production activities, monitor costs and deliver excellent service to our customers while maintaining compliance with company and legislative standards. You will:Manage the day-to-day operation of the ReadyMix plant including contractor activitiesPromote and drive a positive safety culture across siteManage daily production operations, stock levels and operational costsEnsure efficient concrete production to required quality standardsMonitor and improve plant performance through KPIsResolve operational and customer queries in a timely mannerMaintain excellent housekeeping and site standardsBatch concrete to customer specifications whilst meeting internal quality requirementsManage both fixed and variable site costs in line with budget expectationsIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunitiesWhat We’re Looking ForSupervisory or management experience within a manufacturing, production, industrial or heavy industry environmentStrong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental standardsExperience working with Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of WorkExcellent communication and people management skillsStrong organisational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentProactive approach to performance improvement and customer serviceProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational settingContinuous improvement mindset with focus on processes, performance and standardsExperience in ReadyMix, aggregates, construction materials (preferred)IOSH Managing Safely qualification (advantageous)NVQ in fixed or mobile plant operations (advantageous)Location: Agecroft Concrete Plant is easily accessible from Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Ashton-under-Lyne, Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Chorley and surrounding areas.Why TarmacAt Tarmac, who you are matters.
