Join to apply for the Operative role at Tarmac. This is a full-time role working on a rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm – 6am. Due to the site’s location and shift times, having your own transport is highly recommended. The Operative will be hands-on across site operations, reporting directly to the Site Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Achieve daily production targets
- Record and report quality data
- Load/unload products from plant and vehicles
- Ensure accurate and timely dispatch to meet customer expectations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
What We’re Looking For / Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar production and despatch environment
- Good communication skills and strong numeracy
- A mobile plant licence for a diesel counterbalance forklift truck
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Previous experience with manual handling
- Safely focused, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
