Overview
We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join the team at our Tarmac Asphalt plant in Hayes to work night shifts, supporting day-to-day operations including driving mobile plant and carrying out other site duties. Working in line with the site plan, you will help ensure that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time.
Main Responsibilities
- Operating Mobile Plant on site
- Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers receive good quality material and on-time deliveries
- Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
- Following SHE policies and procedures
- Ensuring Plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
- Carrying out Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
- Conducting inspections on the plant, acting on defects, and implementing remedial actions
- Ensuring plant availability is maximised
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping around site
Previous experience in Asphalt / RMX / Plant / Quarry / Industrial Manufacturing environments would be beneficial; however, full training will be provided to the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in the role of Multi Skilled Operative, we are looking for:
- Knowledge of Plant operations
- IT literacy
- Shovel License – highly desirable
- Good timekeeping – flexibility in line with night-shift requirements
- Strong communication skills – proactively raising issues with Line Management
- Previous experience in mobile plant operations
- Full UK manual Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points
Location
The role is based at Hayes and is easily accessible via major road networks. It is commutable from: Southall, Uxbridge, Hounslow, Heathrow, Greenford, Harrow, Wembley, Slough, West Drayton, Iver, Brentford, Ealing, and the surrounding areas.
