Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Mobile Maintenance Electrician (Permanent, Days) Tarmac, the UK’s leading sustainable construction materials business, is looking for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to support our Readymix production sites across the Midlands. The role is based at Lockington near Derby and involves travelling to multiple RMX plants. The position is days-based, Monday‑Friday, with overtime and on‑call duties to support production when needed. What You’ll Be Doing Fault‑finding, repairing and maintaining industrial electrical plant equipment Responding to breakdowns and keeping downtime to a minimum Driving continuous improvement and asset reliability Working with PLC systems, drives and motors Updating and using the CMMS Supporting safe, efficient production across multiple sites What We’re Looking For You’ll be a practical, safety‑focused electrician with experience in heavy industry, ideally within Readymix, cement, quarrying or similar environments. Key Requirements 18th Edition (BS7671) NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship / ONC in Electrical Engineering Experience with LV systems, PLCs, AC drives
