We are currently looking for a Metal Fabricator - Assistant Sign Shop Technician at Riney where you will be based from our Leyton Depot in Walthamstow. The role is easily commutable from Wanstead, Walthamstow, Stratford, Hackney, Tottenham, North Finchley, Edmonton, Enfield, Loughton, Chigwell, Ilford, Dagenham, Cricklewood, Barnet and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
  • Learn to produce and fabricate signs and other traffic related products using the correct materials.
  • Ensure that all aspects of routine and non-routine maintenance is carried out on our signs in the workshop.
  • Contribute to a strong and highly valued Sign Shop Service with the fabrication of signs and their installation.
  • Maintain records of completed works and accurately record any amendments.
  • Use electrical and mechanical tools; as well as hand tools to cut, shape and assemble signs.
  • Ensure all work carried out and documented in line with company SHE policies.
The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in the role of Metal Fabricator - Assistant Sign Shop Technician you as the ideal candidate will possess proven experience of sign making, but training will be given to a candidate who shows aptitude and transferable skills. You will also possess:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read an engineering drawing/schematic and work to tight tolerances would be beneficial.
  • Full UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points would be highly desirable.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Abrasive Wheel.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Computer literate to complete scheduled and emergency tasks whilst documenting and recording the works.
