We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to take ownership of maintenance operations at our Mountsorrel Quarry. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll motivate a skilled team, maximise plant performance, and play a key part in delivering safe, reliable and efficient operations.

What you'll be doing:
- Lead and develop a maintenance team, driving engagement and accountability
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
- Manage breakdown response, defect management and root cause analysis
- Drive improvements in plant productivity, OEE and operational performance
- Oversee inspections, maintenance checks and statutory compliance
- Promote best practice in maintenance management and continuous improvement
- Control maintenance-related costs, including labour and overtime
- Resolve technical issues and support engineering projects
- Manage contractor relationships and service agreements
- Champion a strong health, safety and zero-harm culture across site
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Manager or Engineering Manager within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Understanding of electrical systems
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Confidence challenging standards and holding teams accountable for quality and delivery
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement techniques
- IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
Desirable:
- HNC/HND, recognised apprenticeship or BEng in a relevant engineering discipline
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA and Continuous Improvement methodologies
