The Role
We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Stores Operative to join our team at Mountsorrel Quarry. You’ll play a vital role in keeping operations running efficiently by managing stock, supporting engineers and ensuring the right parts are always in the right place at the right time. No two days are the same - this is a varied, hands-on role where organisation, accuracy and teamwork are key.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Receive, check and book in deliveries
- Accurately manage stock levels and inventory control
- Maintain and update stock records using internal systems
- Pick, pack and issue parts to site teams
- Transport items across site including post and parcels
- Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S)
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report defects
- Work closely with multiple teams across site and external suppliers
What We’re Looking For
This role will suit someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in accuracy and thrives in a busy operational setting. Suitable candidates will have:
- Experience in a stores, manufacturing or engineering environment (heavy stores preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Confidence using SAP or similar systems and Microsoft Office
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Forklift licence (desirable however training is provided)
This role is easily commutable from Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Loughborough, Burton upon Trent & surrounding areas.
