What You'll Be Doing
You will support the Commercial Manager and wider business in delivering commercial objectives and growth plans by managing the pricing and tendering process from enquiry through to submission. You will be responsible for:
- Producing accurate, competitive and high-quality tenders
- Assessing financial, contractual, operational and technical risks
- Supporting the development of a strong pipeline of future opportunities
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, clients and key stakeholders
- Reviewing and appraising completed tenders to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities
- Understanding customer requirements and developing bids that reflect their needs
- Ensuring compliance with company processes, policies and governance procedures
- Contributing to the delivery of regional and national commercial strategies
What We're Looking For
You're someone who enjoys solving commercial challenges and has a keen eye for detail. You'll be naturally analytical, organised and able to work effectively under pressure. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Significant commercial and estimating experience within Highways, Surfacing, Civils, or Infrastructure
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and are highly organised
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Effective communication skills and can engage diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work accurately and effectively to tight deadlines
- Strong IT literacy and confidence working with estimating systems
- A logical, structured and process-driven approach with high levels of attention to detail
- Degree-level education and/or significant relevant industry experience
- Confidence when navigating both financial and contractual risk
