We’re currently looking for a passionate and driven Land Disposals Surveyor to join our successful and innovative Land Development Team. With one of the largest and most diverse land portfolios in the UK — covering over 110,000 acres — this is your chance to work on a truly national scale, across sectors such as residential, commercial, natural capital, and leisure.

Why This Role? No two days are ever the same. You’ll be at the heart of unlocking potential in Tarmac’s surplus and operational landholdings, helping deliver real value through strategic disposals, development opportunities, and creative land use. From small-scale residential schemes to major mixed-use developments and green energy projects — you’ll contribute to work that’s shaping the future of places and communities across the country.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reporting to the National Land Disposals Manager, you will support the disposal of land across the UK to developers, housebuilders, and private individuals.
  • Help manage a property portfolio pre- and post-operational use to unlock maximum value.
  • Work closely with Development Managers, managing agents, planning authorities, and consultants.
  • Liaise with legal advisers to ensure timely, accurate input into transactions and business decisions.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally to drive successful outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A solid background in property, valuation, or asset management.
  • An understanding of property law and land contracts — including options, overages, and title constraints.
  • Experience managing or supporting property sales from marketing through to completion.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills — confident dealing with colleagues and clients alike.
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex property documents.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to think creatively to solve problems and unlock land value.
  • A genuine interest in real estate and a passion for transforming underutilised land into future opportunities.

We offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives and benefits. Some of the range of benefits on offer to employees include:

  • Enhanced holiday entitlement
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential advice.
  • Training and development opportunities

Tarmac, a CRH company, is an equal-opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive work environment for all employees and actively encourage applications from all sectors of the community.
