We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at our busy Hull Asphalt2Go Asphalt Plant in Dairycoates, Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in high standards, and wants to be part of a team responsible for producing and supplying quality materials to customers across the region. This role may be of interest if you have operational experience in manufacturing, production, plant operations, construction or other heavy industry.
What You'll Be Doing
- Mixing and producing asphalt products to customer specifications
- Operating fixed and mobile plant equipment
- Assisting in achieving daily and weekly production targets and planning daily operational activities
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with material replenishment
- Carrying out weighbridge duties
- Operating a loading shovel
- Performing routine plant inspections and reporting defects
- Supporting planned maintenance activities
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards across site and ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are adhered to at all times
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and on-time deliveries
What We're Looking For
If you have experience operating mobile plant within asphalt, aggregates or construction materials production then this would be ideal but we also welcome applications from those with experience in manufacturing operations, production, industrial, heavy plant or other site based operations too.
Suitable candidates will also possess:
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility and reliability
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Basic IT skills
- Loading Shovel Licence (preferred)
Don't worry if you don't have direct asphalt experience. Passion, commitment and a willingness to learn are just as important to us as technical experience. Full training will be provided for the right person who demonstrates positive behaviours and a safety first attitude to work.
This role is easily accessible from Hull, Hornsea, Brough, Barton-upon-Humber, Scunthorpe, Immingham, Brigg, Grimsby and surrounding areas.
