We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our busy plant at Ipswich & Higham. You’ll oversee a complex operation where safety, people leadership and efficiency are key.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, coach and develop a motivated operational team
- Ensure safe, compliant and efficient running of plant, railhead and recycling operations
- Manage budgets, stock control and operational KPIs
- Oversee planned maintenance and statutory inspections
- Maintain SOPs, risk assessments and safety systems
- Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks and support continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
- Experience managing Asphalt, Aggregates or Ready Mix operations
- Strong knowledge of H&S, environmental compliance and production processes
- Confident with SAP and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage change, multitask and lead from the front
- IOSH Managing Safely (essential)
- Institute of Asphalt Technology membership (desirable)
