What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide technical advice on the permits and licences required for new and existing operations in collaboration with the Operational, Strategic Planning and Circularity teams.
  • Manage and deliver a wide variety of permit and licence applications.
  • Identify regulatory changes and guidance that require new permits or affect existing permits and advise the business on required actions to remain compliant.
  • Provide expert advice to the business on technical issues relating to permit conditions or associated environmental legislation.
  • Build and manage relationships with regulators.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Self‑starter.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills.
  • A relevant degree in an environmental or science‑related field.
  • Practical experience managing permit applications and liaising with the Environment Agency and other regulators.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation including the Environmental Permitting Regulations, guidance, practices and procedures.
  • Experience in the minerals, waste or water sector.
