Are you an experienced and dynamic Operative looking for your next position? We are looking for a Depot Operative to join our friendly team at our Packed Products Depot in Inverness. As the successful Depot Operative, you will report to the Site Manager, undertaking all site duties safely, understanding CRH and SHE safety. You will be responsible for driving a forklift truck and learning all required aspects of the operation to meet company and customer requirements, playing an active role in achieving compliance with our quality, environment and safety accreditations.
Main Responsibilities
- Meeting daily production target requirements
- Moving, loading and unloading products from the plant and vehicles
- Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround
- Stock rotation alongside maintaining stock levels to maintain demand
- Maintenance and daily checks of mobile plant
- Maintaining housekeeping standards
- Working on the continuous improvement of performance standards
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Depot Operative will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a similar production and despatch environment, alongside:
- IOSH or other safety qualification or relevant experience
- Forklift Truck Licence
- Full driving licence
- Previous experience of working in a high-volume cement plant would be desirable
- Mobile plant experience essential
The role is based at our Packed Products depot in Inverness. The site is easily accessible from Conon Bridge, Muir of Ord, Dingwall, Nairn, Forres, Carrbridge and the surrounding areas.
