We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager with a strong background in the Cement Industry to join our Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key territory, managing strategic customer relationships whilst driving profitable growth across our bulk cement portfolio. You'll work closely with ready-mix concrete producers, precast manufacturers, merchants, contractors and major infrastructure projects, ensuring customers receive best-in-class service and technical support.

As the face of our business within your region, you'll play a critical role in delivering sales performance, identifying new opportunities and strengthening our position within the market.

The Role

  • Managing and developing existing customer accounts across your territory.
  • Driving growth in cement volumes, revenue and margin.
  • Developing strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across target market sectors.
  • Negotiating pricing agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Providing customers with product, technical and market knowledge.
  • Supporting major projects and key account activity within your region.
  • Producing accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence.
  • Working collaboratively with Operations, Logistics, Customer Services, Technical and Finance teams.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market trends.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Competition Law and company policies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven sales and account management experience within the Cement Industry.
  • Strong understanding of bulk cement products, applications and routes to market.
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • A successful track record of delivering sales growth and profitability.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently whilst managing a regional territory.
  • Strong planning, organisational and forecasting capabilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience selling bulk cement to ready-mix concrete, precast, infrastructure or construction customers.
  • Knowledge of major project sales and specification-led selling.
  • Experience in construction materials, aggregates, concrete or related heavy building materials sectors.
