What You’ll Do
As Electrical Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll drive maintenance excellence and system reliability across the plant. You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot, improve, and future-proof our electrical systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading 1-year and 3–5-year asset improvement plans
- Implementing Written Schemes of Examination and Risk-Based Assessments
- Advising on repairs and inspection intervals to meet legal and business standards
- Supporting plant upgrades, modifications, and CAPEX projects
- Diagnosing faults using data, modelling, and system analysis
- Promoting best practices in maintenance and change management
- Training and mentoring engineers, fitters, and apprentices
- Driving Health & Safety compliance and zero-harm culture
- Reviewing plant performance and leading root cause analysis
- Improving preventive maintenance plans with the Engineering Planner
What You’ll Bring
- Experience with Siemens S5/S7, Allen Bradley, & Mitsubishi PLCS's
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance strategies, and project delivery
- HNC/D in Electrical Engineering / Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 18th Edition certification (essential)
- Familiarity with CMMS, databases, and project software
- Demonstrable ability to design, program and deliver working industrial control systems
