At Tarmac National Contracting, we are seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to join our National Road Planing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of site operations, lead high-performing teams and play a vital role in delivering essential infrastructure projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
As a Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and in line with customer expectations, while fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement and operational excellence. Working across a variety of projects, you'll be the key link between our site teams, customers and operational management, helping ensure every project is a success.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Site Supervisor, you'll take the lead in managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading site teams, subcontractors and operational resources to deliver successful road planing projects
- Ensuring full compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Conducting site briefings, risk assessments, STOP Assessments and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented and maintained
- Managing plant, vehicles and equipment to ensure they are safe, compliant and ready for operation
- Building strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery
- Monitoring project performance, productivity and resource utilisation to maximise operational efficiency
- Supporting, coaching and developing team members while promoting a positive and engaged working environment
- Managing and controlling costs, identifying efficiencies and supporting commercial performance across contracts
- Ensuring quality standards xgikmsk are achieved and all required documentation and records are completed accurately and on time

- Previous experience within the road planing, highways, surfacing or civil engineering sector
- Proven experience supervising operational teams in a fast-paced site environment
- Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and a commitment to creating a safe workplace
