Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for your next permanent role? We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our friendly team based at our Offices in Colchester, Essex. The focus of this role is to optimise all programs of works across the Tarmac sector of industries, maximising both volume and best economic source principles for transport and supplying units whilst delivering an industry leading service to all of our customers.

Main responsibilities:

  • As the successful Transport Planner, you will report to the Distribution Supervisor and will be responsible for providing timely communication to all stakeholders, updating on planned solutions to program changes, overseeing daily and weekly programmes including Out of Hours works.
  • Supporting fleet, transport planners and weighbridge staff to ensure high levels of vehicle utilisation and low levels of haulier queries.
  • Ensuring that internal and external customers receive high levels of service and communication.
  • Cost effective distribution of Tarmac's product to external and internal customers.
  • Managing material service levels to customers through detailed pre-planning of programmed works through regular communication.
