Transport Planner
Location: Tarmac The Hub, Mountsorrel, Leicestershire

What You'll Be Doing
As a Transport Planner you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of materials across the region. Working closely with customers, drivers, planners, hauliers and internal teams, you'll be at the centre of the operation, making real-time decisions and keeping deliveries moving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring same-day deliveries and handling customer queries and complaints professionally and effectively
- Planning next-day and future deliveries to maximise fleet efficiency
- Managing inbound and outbound customer and driver communications
- Proactively communicating delivery updates and service changes
- Coordinating internal and external transport assets
- Maintaining accurate records and operational data
- Managing costs while delivering excellent service levels
- Raising and escalating any safety concerns immediately
- Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy, challenging environment who can confidently manage competing priorities. Suitable candidates xgikmsk will have:
- Previous experience in a fleet planning, transport planning, logistics coordination or scheduling role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work effectively under pressure
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
