Were recruiting a Plant Supervisor (Readymix) to lead operations at our Derby Concrete Plant, Allenton, Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Readymix plant, ensuring safety, quality, customer service and operational performance remain at the highest level. This is a highly visible role where you will lead from the front, manage plant performance, support your team and help deliver a first-class service to customers.
While experience within the Readymix or aggregates sector would be beneficial, we are equally keen to hear from candidates with supervisory experience gained in other heavy industrial, manufacturing or production environments. Full product and industry training will be provided. xgikmsk
What You'll Be Doing
As Plant Supervisor you will lead and supervise all daily Readymix plant operations whilst building positive relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues. This will include:
- Managing daily production activities, stock control and operational costs
- Ensuring efficient concrete production while maintaining quality standards
- Creating and maintaining a strong safety culture across site
- Managing site compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation
- Delivering toolbox talks and supervising contractors
- Monitoring and improving plant performance through KPIs
- Resolving operational and customer-related queries
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and site standards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
- Managing site budgets, including both fixed and variable costs
