We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our night-shift engineering team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining plant reliability through rapid breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance, and effective fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems. You will play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous production during night operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to plant breakdowns, carrying out effective fault-finding and repairs to minimise downtime.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with the maintenance schedule.
- Carry out routine inspections, condition monitoring, and safety checks across production equipment.
- Execute shutdown maintenance activities, including strip-downs, overhauls, and project-based tasks.
- Accurately complete digital work orders, job updates, and asset history using tablet-based CMMS systems.
- Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending engineering solutions.
- Work safely at all times, adhering to site procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment performance and operational efficiency.
