Tarmac is recruiting a Multi Skilled Operativeto join the team at Ravelrig Quarry in Midlothian, easily accessible from Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
Working as part of a multi-skilled site team, youllsupport the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the quarry, operatingboth fixed and mobile plant to help deliver high-quality materials to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate fixed and mobile plant includingloading shoveland dump trucks
- Carry outweighbridge duties
- Support daily and weekly production targets
- Ensure plantoperatessafely, efficiently andremainsavailable
- Perform routine plant inspections and report or act on defects
- Assistwith basic plant maintenance
- Maintainhigh standardsofhealth, safety, environmental and quality compliance
- Keep site housekeeping to a high standard
- Communicate issues clearly to the Supervisor and wider team
- The Ideal Candidate
Werelooking for a motivated individual with experience in an industrial, factory or similar operational environment, who takes pride in their work and communicates effectively with others.
Youllbe keen to learn, adaptable in your approach, and motivated to develop both operational and supervisory skills.
Experience within a quarry or asphalt plant would bebeneficial butisntessential werecommitted to supporting and training the right person.
