What Youll Be Doing
As a Commercial Trainee, youll support our commercial contracting teams while developing key professional skills. You will:
- Complete a Level 4 commercial qualification through a structured apprenticeship
- Learn how to price and generate customer quotations using internal systems
- Support in converting quotations into contracts
- Build strong customer relationships and resolve queries professionally
- Gain a broad understanding of Tarmacs products and services
- Work collaboratively across commercial and quantity surveying teams
- Take part in role rotations to build wider business knowledge
- Represent Tarmac in customer interactions and industry events
- Contribute to team targets and customer service excellence
What Were Looking For
We welcome people from all backgroundsno prior experience isrequired.
Desirable:
- A strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good communication and relationship-building abilities
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders
- Strong IT and literacy skills
- A proactive mindset with problem-solving ability
- A positive, team-focused approach
Essential:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred)
- A desire to continue learning and develop through further qualifications
