At Tarmac, who you are matters. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded HR Manager to join our Cement business, supporting our Tunstead Cement Plant, Commercial and Supply Chain & Logistics Central operations.
This is a high-impact HR leadership role where you'll partner closely with operational and senior leaders, providing expert guidance across a broad range of people matters. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering the people agenda, shaping workforce strategies, supporting organisational change, and ensuring our people practices drive both business performance and employee engagement.

What You'll Be Doing
As HR Manager, you'll deliver a proactive, commercially focused HR service that supports both operational and strategic business objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with senior leaders and management teams to provide expert HR advice, challenge and support on complex people matters
- Delivering a high-quality employee relations service, managing disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability cases while minimising risk and supporting positive outcomes
- Building strong relationships with Trade Union representatives and leading local industrial relations activity, including supporting annual pay negotiations
- Leading organisational change initiatives, including restructures, xgikmsk reorganisations and redundancy programmes, ensuring legal compliance and effective consultation throughout
- Influencing and coaching leaders to strengthen management capability, drive accountability and support a high-performance culture
- Supporting workforce planning, succession planning and talent development activities to ensure future capability needs are met
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, early careers and educational engagement initiatives across your business areas
