Are you a Multi Skilled Operative with a head for heights and not afraid of water? Then please read on, as we have a unique and exciting role that may be just right for you. We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join the fantastic team at our Tarmac Radlett site. The plant is easily accessible via most major networks, whether by road or public transport. This role is commutable from locations such as St Albans, Watford, Borehamwood, Elstree, Bushey, Hemel Hempstead, Hatfield, Edgware, Potters Bar, and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Plant Supervisor, the Multi Skilled Operative will work on the shift to shift operations of securing our ships in dock, working at height on our conveyors (including areas above water), and undertaking various site duties including operating mobile plant.
- You will work with the team to deliver the site plan and ensure that stock levels are maintained and replenished in good time.
- Your responsibilities will include (not exhaustive):
- Securing Tarmac's ships in dock
- Working at height on conveyors across the ships and above water
- Operating mobile plant on site
- Working with the team to ensure customers receive high quality material and on time deliveries
- Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
- Following SHE policies and procedures
- Ensuring both fixed and mobile plant meet safety requirements at all times
- Upholding Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
- Conducting plant inspections, acting on defects, and implementing remedial actions
- Ensuring plant availability is maximised
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site
Previous experience in a Marine / Maritime / Dock / Asphalt / RMX / Plant / Quarry / Industrial Manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial, but not essential, as full training will be provided. You must, however, be comfortable working at height and around water.
The role requires flexibility to meet production requirements, with overtime available.
