We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager with a background in mechanical and/or electrical systems. The Role
- Leading end‑to‑end project delivery, from concept and design through to commissioning
- Providing mechanical and electrical engineering expertise to support operational performance and improvements
- Working within a CDM environment, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance
- Managing project budgets, timelines and resources, ensuring investments deliver expected outcomes
- Partnering closely with operational teams to deliver practical, value‑driven engineering solutions
This is a mobile role, covering sites across North England and Scotland, giving you variety, exposure, and real influence across multiple operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver projects safely, promoting a zero harm / zero incident culture
- Provide expert mechanical and electrical engineering support across capital projects
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors and site teams
- Apply value engineering and best practice to optimise project outcomes
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and performance improvements
- Ensure compliance with all engineering, HSE, and CDM regulations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across regional operations
- Interpret and challenge technical designs, drawings and specifications (CAD)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong operational engineering/project experience within an industrial environment or heavy industry, manufacturing, aggregates, asphalt, concrete or similar
- Qualifications in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience)
- Proven project management experience including budgeting and delivery
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and safe project delivery
- Ability to scope, estimate and deliver complex projects
- Experience working across multi‑disciplinary teams in a multi‑site environment
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving ability
- Proven financial awareness and commercial astuteness
- High levels of resilience, adaptability and self‑awareness
- Knowledge of Quarry Regulations 1999 (preferred)
