Tarmac is on an exciting transformation journey - and we're looking for a talented Transformation Business Analyst to play a key role in shaping the future of our business (hybrid working). If you're passionate about understanding how organisations work, uncovering opportunities for improvement, and helping deliver meaningful change, this role offers the perfect platform. You'll work at the heart of our Transformation function, partnering with stakeholders across the business to analyse processes, gather requirements, and support the delivery of solutions that make a real difference. This is a high visibility role with exposure to senior leaders and the opportunity to influence strategic change across Tarmac's operations.
What you'll be doing
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements
- Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to define scope and capture requirements
- Produce high quality documentation including requirements packs, process maps, user stories, use cases, and gap analyses
- Act as the link between business teams and technical delivery teams
- Support prioritisation of requirements based on business value and project objectives
- Contribute to solution design, ensuring proposals align with business needs
- Support testing activities, including defining acceptance criteria and assisting with UAT
- Monitor the impact of implemented solutions and champion continuous improvement
- Ensure change is delivered in a structured, controlled, and measurable way
- Communicate insights, recommendations, and progress updates clearly to stakeholders at all levels

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Experience in process mapping and business process improvement
- The ability to analyse data, trends, and business issues to support decision making
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and business cases
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or Visio (desirable)
- Experience in transformation or change projects within a large, complex organisation
- Sector experience in construction, building materials, or manufacturing (advantageous but not essential)
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies (desirable)
