We are currently looking for a Team Leader - Transactional Accounts Receivable to join our Finance function and play a key role in delivering accurate, efficient and compliant Accounts Receivable operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AR professional and people leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys coaching others, and is motivated by continuous improvement and operational excellence.

As Team Leader - Transactional Accounts Receivable, you will have two direct reports and be responsible for managing and leading a team that oversees cash application, invoice queries and credit note processing, ensuring compliance with group policies, SOX controls and audit requirements. You’ll act as a subject‑matter expert within AR processes while driving performance, accuracy and efficiency across the team. You’ll also contribute to the implementation of process enhancements and future technology improvements to support best‑in‑class collections and cash application activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, coach and develop a transactional AR team, creating a supportive and high‑performing environment
  • Monitor team performance to ensure delivery against agreed SLAs, timelines and quality standards
  • Run daily huddles to prioritise workload, address issues and support problem‑solving
  • Ensure accurate and timely cash application, invoice query resolution and credit note processing
  • Oversee scheduling and execution of key AR activities, including statements, dunning, direct debit runs and document clearance
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements and internal processes
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to audit requests and stakeholder queries
  • Build strong working relationships with Collections teams, Commercial teams and the wider Finance community
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify processes and remove waste

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, cash application and/or transaction processing
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a finance or shared services environment
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and audit requirements
  • Experience of working with ERP systems and AR‑related technologies
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience within finance or accounting
