Due to internal promotion, we are currently recruiting for a Contracting Administrator to join our friendly team at our Agecroft site, in Salford, near Manchester. This is a key role that provides clerical and administrative support to our contracting teams and helps coordinate Plant equipment on site. This role is easily accessible from Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Ashton-under-Lyne, Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Chorley and the surrounding areas.

OverviewThe role involves providing both clerical and administrative support and the coordination of Plant on site, reporting to the Senior Administrator. You will be involved with the coordination, implementation and communication of procedures and you will frequently have responsibility for specific projects and tasks.
Role Responsibilities- Coordinating Plant equipment to ensure appropriate Plant is available in the right place and right time on a daily basis
- Ensuring Plant allocation is recorded weekly in SAP
- Effectively manage and supervise performance and delivery of administrative tasks updating spreadsheets, processing operative timesheets, collating and formatting monthly reports and maintaining up to date records
- Providing administrative support to maintain efficient, safe and cost-effective site activities along with efficient running of the regional contracting team
- Raise Purchase orders on CPA for suppliers
- Coordinating training activities for all Plant employees and organising labour, plant and materials and any other associated requirements
- Complying with company Health and Safety policies and procedures, proactively tracking the completion of mandatory training and reporting any unsafe or hazardous working practices
- Managing site activities in SAP ensuring all purchase orders are created correctly and raising purchase order requisitions
- Engaging and developing positive relationships with suppliers and supply chain to support the business
The ideal candidate for the role of Contracting Administrator will demonstrate proven experience working within an administrative environment ideally within an industrial, manufacturing or construction sector. You will also enjoy collaborating with other teams and be adept at maintaining accurate records.
