Working closely with commercial and operational teams, you'll influence business strategy, develop customer relationships and help build a strong pipeline of opportunities across the region. What You'll Be Doing
- You will support the Commercial Manager and wider business in delivering commercial objectives and growth plans by managing the pricing and tendering process from enquiry through to submission.
- You will be responsible for:
- Producing accurate, competitive and high-quality tenders
- Assessing financial, contractual, operational and technical risks
- Supporting the development of a strong pipeline of future opportunities
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, clients and key stakeholders
- Reviewing and appraising completed tenders to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities
- Understanding customer requirements and developing bids that reflect their needs
- Ensuring compliance with company processes, policies and governance procedures
- Contributing to the delivery of regional and national commercial strategies
What We're Looking For
You're someone who enjoys solving commercial challenges and has a keen eye for detail. You'll be naturally analytical, organised and able to work effectively under pressure. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Significant commercial and estimating experience within Highways, Surfacing, Civils, or Infrastructure
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and are highly organised
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Effective communication skills and can engage diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work accurately and effectively to tight deadlines
- Strong IT literacy and confidence working with estimating systems
- A logical, structured and process-driven approach with high levels of attention to detail
- Degree-level education and/or significant relevant industry experience
- Confidence when navigating both financial and contractual risk
