About the Role

Reporting into the Accounts Payable Lead, the successful Trainer/Assessor will be identifying and managing the delivery of the internal, assessment and certification of operational training for the geographical area of responsibility. You will ensure where appropriate full use of both internal and external training resources which will include certification and assessment by the incumbent. You will be coordinating and planning the above through building strong relationships with managers across all Business Units; ensuring buy-in and commitment to the training programme and communicating and coordinating with operations teams to ensure competency, skills and knowledge are maintained across all product lines.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you as the successful Trainer/Assessor will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive):

  • Ensuring that Tarmac complies with any legislative requirements that have been set out; ensuring internal and external standards and quality assurance are in place.
  • Supporting the delivery of our S&H strategy by ensuring that all operational employees have the competent skills required for the job role they carry out.
  • Delivering fixed, mobile plant assessment when required and carry out competence assessments, through approved process.
  • Delivering a variety of internal training.
  • Ensuring all qualifications meet the Tarmac Assessment Centre and the Internal Verification processes.
  • Providing progress feedback to the appropriate manager as and when required.
  • Leading and coordinating regular progress reviews for apprentices.
  • Providing feedback on apprentice portfolios.
  • Facilitating and supporting in delivery of apprenticeship workshops.
