Overview
We’re looking for a Sourcing Analyst to play a key role in shaping how our national supply network operates.
This is a highly commercial, data‑driven position where your insight will influence profitability, efficiency and customer service across multiple manufacturing sites and distribution points.
Working within the national Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework, you’ll analyse production capacity, transport costs, product specifications and customer requirements to identify the most cost‑effective source of supply.
This role sits at the heart of the business, partnering with commercial, operations and supply chain teams to ensure smart, balanced decisions that deliver measurable financial impact.
Responsibilities
- Optimise supply source decisions across the national network to ensure the right product is delivered from the right place at the right cost.
- Analyse customer orders and supply options, balancing production costs, transportation expense, capacity constraints and service requirements to determine the most economical solution.
- Maintain and refine the Sourcing model, including cost and revenue analysis, reason code tracking and monitoring non‑optimal or cross‑border deliveries.
- Regularly review production capacity and network footprint, identify constraints and opportunities, and make recommendations to improve utilisation and efficiency.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports highlighting performance trends, compliance with optimal supply decisions and opportunities to improve margin.
- Collaborate with commercial, operations, logistics and planning teams to investigate deviations from optimal supply, quantify financial impact, and drive practical improvements.
- Contribute to the monthly S&OP process, providing analysis, insight and clear recommendations to support decision‑making.
- Support the development of dashboards and analytical tools using platforms such as Power BI and Anaplan to improve visibility, governance and supply chain decision‑making.
- What We’re Looking For
- Naturally analytical, commercially aware and comfortable working with complexity. Curious, detail‑focused and motivated by solving optimisation problems using data and insight.
- Experience in supply chain planning, operations analysis, business analysis or a similar analytical role with a strong track record of working with data, building reports and supporting business decisions.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential; experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is beneficial.
Familiarity with ERP or planning systems such as SAP or Anaplan is advantageous.
- Understanding of how supply decisions impact cost, service and margin; able to translate analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting insight to operational and senior audiences.
- A degree in a relevant analytical discipline (e. g., supply chain, operations, engineering, business, data analytics or mathematics) is essential; professional or process‑improvement qualifications are a plus.
- Collaborative, resilient, adaptable and eager to continuously learn and improve processes.
