You will receive excellent remuneration and benefits.If you’re a reliable, safety-focused driver who enjoys being part of a team and wants a role with varied routes, autonomy and strong earning potential, we’d love to hear from you.What you’ll be doingDuties will include the day-to-day operations in support of the site including:Driving bitumen spray tanker across the North West regionOccasionally driving other Category C vehiclesEnsuring that the lorry and ancillaries are checked regularly and that any defects noted and highlighted to Fitter and officeEnsuring that any journeys are undertaken safely and legally and that the loads checked and secureLiaising with the Plant Coordinator and Gang Foreman regularly and working together as a teamWorking safely and in conjunction with current Driving RegulationsComplying with company standards and procedures – engaging with the Transport Manager who will check details, provide feedback and help with any driving issuesWhat we’re looking forLGV (HGV) Class 2 licenceA valid Digital Tacho CardA valid CPC Qualification CardExperience gained within similar role/heavy industryKnowledge of Health and Safety policies and proceduresA positive attitude to work, and be flexible and adaptable in their working approachSelf-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of the wider teamExcellent communication and organisational skillsADR - Carriage of Dangerous Goods certification (advantageous)Heavy mobile Plant loading experience (advantageous)Based out of our Agecroft site in Salford this role is easily commutable from Salford, Liverpool, Bolton, Bury, Wigan, Rochdale, Stockport and surrounding areas.Why TarmacAt Tarmac, who you are matters.
