We're looking for a Quarry Supervisor to join our team at Wellington Quarry in Hereford where you'll play a key role in overseeing daily operations, leading a skilled team, and ensuring our quarry continues to operate safely, efficiently and productively.

What Youll Be Doing
As Quarry Supervisor you'll be responsible for supporting the management of a busy sand and gravel operation, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest operational standards. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Supervising and coordinating Operators, Fitters and Electricians across the site
- Supporting the safe and efficient operation of mobile crushing and screening plants along with other mobile plant equipment
- Working closely with other Plant Supervisors to maximise plant availability, performance and productivity
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards at all times
- Completing administrative and compliance-related activities accurately and efficiently
- Using operational systems including SAP, Fortek, Excel and similar platforms
- Supporting general plant maintenance and housekeeping activities
- Encouraging a strong safety culture and leading by example
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience within quarrying, aggregates, asphalt, mining, recycling or other heavy manufacturing / industrial processing environment.
Suitable candidates will have experience effectively supervising teams within a production or operational environment. You will also have:
- A strong understanding of quarry operations and associated health and safety requirements
- Regulation 8.1(c) appointment status (8.1d will be considered) with the desire and capability to progress
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confidence building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
- Ability and passion to inspire your team, drive operational performance and create an environment where everyone can succeed
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Good IT skills and experience using operational systems
- Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
- Experience operating or maintaining Excavators, Front-end loaders, Dump trucks and Fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants (advantageous)
Located near Hereford, this role is easily commutable from Worcester, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Ledbury, Ludlow, Malvern, Kidderminster, Tenbury Wells, Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye, Cinderford and surrounding areas.
