Are you an experienced Supervisor or Team Leader from a quarrying, heavy industrial, manufacturing, processing, cement, mining or production environment?
Do you thrive in fast-paced operational settings where safety, people leadership and delivering results matter?We're looking for a Stone Shift Supervisor to join our team at Tunstead Quarry, taking responsibility for the safe, efficient and sustainable operation of the site during your shift.
What you'll be doing Leading quarry, crushing, processing and dispatch operations Driving a strong health, safety and environmental culture Coordinating shift teams to achieve production and performance targets Managing plant issues, breakdowns and operational challenges Delivering effective shift handovers and operational reporting Coaching, developing and supporting operational teams Investigating incidents, near misses and operational deviations Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities What we're looking for Previous supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred but not essential)Experience within quarrying, heavy industry, manufacturing or process operations A visible and proactive approach to health and safety Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills The ability to remain calm, resilient and adaptable under pressure Experience delivering team and operational performance targets Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills IOSH Managing Safely (preferred)SHE NVQ (preferred)Quarry regulations knowledge and technical qualifications or experience with mobile plant and processing equipment (advantageous)Why Tarmac This is a unique opportunity to take on a key leadership role at Tunstead Quarry, one of the UK's largest and most strategically important quarrying operations.
