We're looking for a Road Surfacing Supervisor to join our growing North West & North Wales Contracting team. Based in Salford, this role will support operations across the North West and North Wales, overseeing site teams and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery on a range of surfacing schemes.

We have gangs based in Merseyside, Wigan, Manchester and Ruthin meaning this role offers great accessibility for candidates across North West England as well as Gwynedd, Denbighshire and Flintshire in North Wales.

As our Road Surfacing Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our site operations, responsible for:

  • Managing surfacing schemes across both the motorway and local road networks
  • Completing all site paperwork and admin in line with our Business Management System
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the highest standard and meet contract specifications
  • Identifying any variations and reporting them to the Surfacing Manager / Quantity Surveyor
  • Motivating, developing and supporting teams to deliver exceptional performance
  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships

You’ll bring experience from the surfacing, highways or construction environment, along with the confidence and leadership skills to manage people, performance and safety:

  • Has a CSCS card
  • Holds SMSTS (or minimum SSSTS)
  • Has hands-on experience of asphalts, blacktop and road laying with knowledge of the Specification for Highways Works and British Standards
  • Has ideally worked on project work, including motorway schemes
  • Can work flexibly, including night shifts and some weekends
