Are you ready to play a vital role in maintaining and optimising the electrical and process control systems that keep our plant running smoothly? We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Craftsperson to join our Maintenance team and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our Cement Plant operation based in Dunbar, East Lothian.
Main Responsibilities
- Prioritising safety at all times, demonstrating a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Applying existing knowledge or quickly developing expertise in a wide range of equipment, including instrumentation, PLCs, DCS/SCADA systems, LV & HV motors, switchgear, control gear, AC & DC systems, variable speed drives, and specialised control panels.
- Performing mechanical maintenance tasks such as bearing replacement and device alignment.
- Being flexible with working hours, including potential weekend or split day shifts.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience as a trained electrical craftsperson/process control.
- 18th edition certified.
- Multi-skilled engineering maintenance experience.
- PLC experience.
- Strong team worker with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work flexibly.
