About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an LGV Driver to support our Readymix operations across Norfolk. As the face of Tarmac, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our products are delivered safely, efficiently, and professionally to both residential and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely delivering ready-mix concrete and other products to various sites
- Communicating effectively with the office team for instructions and updates
- Conducting regular vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all loads are secure and transported legally
- Adhering to current driving regulations and company safety standards
- Accurately recording load details on product tickets
- Liaising with the Transport Manager for support and feedback
Please note: Flexibility to work overtime and cover out-of-hours requirements is essential.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll ideally bring:
- Previous driving experience, preferably in a similar industry
- Experience with RMX mixers (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
Essential Requirements
- LGV (HGV) Class 1 licence
- Valid Digital Tacho Card
- CPC / DQC Qualification Card
The role is based from our Tarmac Norwich site, in Norfolk and is easily commutable from Spixworth, Wymondham, Taverham, Loddon, Aylsham, Hemsby, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea, Hopton, Lowestoft, Beccles, Dereham, Cromer, North Walsham and the surrounding areas.
