Tunstead Quarry Location: Tunstead Quarry, Buxton, Derbyshire Commutable from: Manchester, Sheffield, Stockport, Macclesfield, Chesterfield, Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.

What you'll be doing
As a Production Inspection Operative (Shift Patroller), you'll be out on the Plant, keeping everything running smoothly and stepping in when it matters most. You will:
- Patrol stone processing plants to monitor performance and identify issues early
- Act quickly on faults to minimise downtime and maintain output
- Support operators in achieving shift KPIs
- Carry out planned and proactive inspections
- Assist with mechanical maintenance and fault finding
- Ensure conveyor systems and plant equipment are operating safely and efficiently
- Complete clear and accurate shift reports
- Work to the highest safety standards, contributing to a zero-harm environment
Shift Pattern
You will be working 4 on (2 days / 2 nights) / 4 off rotation and overtime is available too.
What we're looking for
You don't need to tick every box but if you bring curiosity, reliability and a hands-on mindset, we want to hear from you. Suitable candidates will have:
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or heavy Plant environment
- A strong safety-first attitude
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- IT and basic report writing skills
- Knowledge of crushing, screening or washing processes (advantageous)
- Experience with mobile or fixed plant equipment (advantageous)
- Basic mechanical understanding and fault-finding skills (advantageous)
- Familiarity with maintenance systems and reporting (advantageous)
