Purpose of the Role
Reporting directly to the Plant Supervisor, the Multi Skilled Operative will work on day-to-day operations driving mobile plant. You will work with the team to deliver the site plan, ensuring stocks are maintained and replenished in good time.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Operate mobile plant on site.
- Work with team members to ensure customers receive quality material and on-time deliveries.
- Assist the Supervisor in meeting daily/weekly production targets.
- Follow SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) policies and procedures.
- Ensure plant conforms with safety requirements at all times.
- Carry out health, safety, environmental, and quality responsibilities.
- Inspect plant, act on defects, and implement remedial actions.
- Maximise plant availability through proactive maintenance.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards around the site.
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
- Knowledge of plant operations.
- Good timekeeping and flexibility to meet site requirements.
- Good communication skills to raise issues with line management.
- Previous experience in mobile plant operations.
- Full UK driving licence.
- IT literacy.
Desirable:
- Shovel licence (highly desirable).
- Previous experience as a Multi Skilled Operative in a plant/quarry environment (training provided if required).
Behaviours
- Demonstrates reliability and adaptability.
