We're looking for an Asphalt 2 Go Manager to lead the growth of one of our highest-value product portfolios across the North of England. This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines commercial acumen, strategic thinking, customer influence and technical credibility to create sustainable growth and maximise profitability.

This role requires a genuine business manager mindset. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering regional business plans, identifying market opportunities, growing high-margin revenue streams, influencing product strategy and building strong relationships with customers, contractors and local authorities. You'll work across commercial, operational, technical, procurement and marketing functions to deliver growth whilst enhancing customer value and differentiating our offering in the marketplace.

What You'll Be Doing

As Asphalt 2 Go Manager, you'll take ownership of the commercial development and growth of key value-added asphalt and aggregate solutions including the Ulti range, Warm Mix technologies, Collect Asphalt and Slag-based solutions. You will develop and deliver regional business plans focused on revenue growth, margin enhancement and market expansion and drive annual sales, profit and volume targets across a portfolio of high-value products.

You will also:

  • Identify and convert new commercial opportunities through targeted strategies and customer engagement
  • Build and strengthen relationships with Local Authorities, national contractors and key external stakeholders
  • Lead the regional Asphalt 2 Go and Slag strategies ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
  • Maximise the commercial value of regional slag reserves through strategic planning and market development
  • Champion value-added products to ensure they are effectively positioned and promoted to customers
  • Lead product launches and accelerate routes to market by securing customer approvals and contractor adoption
  • Identify opportunities to improve returns from slow-moving stocks through innovative technical and commercial solutions
  • Work closely with technical, operational and commercial teams to deliver profitable outcomes
  • Deliver technical sales training and support the development of commercial teams across the region
  • Identify future market trends and customer needs to support innovation and product development

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a commercially astute, results-focused individual who combines strong commercial leadership with a strategic, entrepreneurial approach. Suitable candidates will already have a proven track record of developing and delivering successful commercial strategies as well as experience achieving sales growth whilst protecting and improving margins.

You will also have:

  • Strong business planning, forecasting and financial management capabilities
  • Ability to analyse markets, identify opportunities, make data-driven decisions and convert them into profitable outcomes
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and influencing decision-makers
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • A customer-first approach with the ability to create long-term value for customers and the business
  • Confidence to lead change, challenge convention and introduce new ideas
  • Experience working with technical products, construction materials, asphalt, aggregates, concrete or related sectors
  • Experience using CRM and digital sales tools such as Salesforce
  • Resilience and be adaptable and energised by a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Passionate about sustainability and helping customers achieve better outcomes
