Are you an experienced and dynamic Chargehand looking for your next position?
We are looking for a Chargehand to join the team at our Packed Products site at Northwich. Within this role you will assist the Site Supervisor and Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, achievement of production targets, and maintenance of quality standards. You will provide hands-on leadership on the shop floor by coordinating operatives, managing shift activities, and supporting plant troubleshooting and maintenance and serve as the primary point of contact for operatives, promoting clear communication and ensuring seamless workflow across shifts.
Main ResponsibilitiesOn a day to day basis, the Chargehand's duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following: Leading a Packed Products TeamDelivery of site handoversManage aspects of daily production ensuring efficient manufacture and optimum levels of OEE aremaintained, driving operations performance through KPI'sGeneral housekeeping;ensuring that the highest standards are maintained in accordance withWhatGood Looks Like (WGLL) and the CRH Lifesaving rulesRole modelling an exemplary approach to Health and Safety,contributingproactively to a safe workingenvironment and working collaboratively to build a culture of continuous improvementTaking pride in all work completed and being determined to succeedEffectively engage with Contractors. Main point of contact ensuring compliance with site specific rules (Safe System of Work / RA's etc)The Ideal CandidateYou will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a similar production and dispatch environment. Furthermore, if you have experience in any of the following, this would be beneficial in your application;Good communication skills and good numeracyHolding a mobile plant licence for diesel counterbalance forklift truck would be advantageous, but not essentialStrong communication and team player abilityPrevious experience of manual handling would be a bonusWhy TarmacWe don't just offer a job, we offer a career.
