About the role
We're currently looking for a Business Infrastructure Analyst to join our IT team based in the Colchester Area. The role is a hybrid working role. The role is responsible for delivering and supporting IT Infrastructure Services, building and maintaining relationships with local senior management and key business stakeholders to ensure that office and operational site infrastructure together with core IT Infrastructure Services meet business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical guidance on existing IT Infrastructure Services and new business solutions to ensure compliance with IT Standards and Security Policies.
- Project manage business and IT changes, such as office moves, new sites, acquisitions and IT‑driven improvements, including stakeholder management, contingency planning and working collaboratively with the wider IT team as needed.
- Work closely with IT suppliers and business stakeholders to ensure new IT solutions and changes meet business requirements, are delivered within SLA and comply with IT Standards.
- Produce technical documentation, project management activities and take ownership from concept through to delivery.
- Provide ownership for incident management and support for business requests directly, through the wider IT team, partners and other third parties, with a strong focus on excellent customer service, timely communications and escalation to ensure SLAs are not breached.
- On‑board and support new acquisitions and business changes.
- Embrace, up‑skill and promote the benefits of new technologies such as HCS, Meraki and O365.
Note: This role involves regular travel to the Corporate Centre, Regional Offices, and operational sites, and will require out‑of‑hours work, including overnight, weekends and public holidays.
Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in an Infrastructure and/or Service Delivery role.
- Experience coordinating activities for others (colleagues or suppliers).
- Project management experience.
- Supplier management experience.
- Knowledge of Service Delivery frameworks (e.g. ITIL) is desirable.
- Experience delivering services in line with SLAs and working with third parties.
- Technical skills including desktops, laptops, thin clients, locally installed software, enterprise applications, connected devices, WAN, LAN (e.g. Meraki hardware), telephony (e.g. PBX, HCS, Contact Centre), data cabling, comms rooms, patching, UPS, environmental controls.
- Broad understanding of network security.
