Purpose of the Role

This role combines order fulfilment and transport planning responsibilities to ensure accurate order capture, efficient delivery scheduling, and smooth logistics execution. It supports customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance across the supply chain.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Receive and input customer orders via phone, email, or digital platforms.
  • Verify order details including product codes, quantities, and delivery instructions.
  • Plan and schedule deliveries based on customer orders, vehicle availability, and route efficiency.
  • Coordinate with transport planners, hauliers, and drivers to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
  • Monitor delivery progress and proactively address delays or issues.
  • Maintain accurate transport and order data in planning systems or ERP platforms.
  • Generate reports on order volumes, delivery performance, transport KPIs, and exceptions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations (e.g., driver hours, vehicle weight limits).
  • Handle customer queries professionally and escalate where necessary.
  • Support documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the team as a Fire Warden and First Aider (if required).
