We are currently looking for a Road Surfacing Supervisor to join our Yorkshire team at Tarmac.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a range of surfacing schemes across motorways and the local network
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety policies
  • Communicating effectively with gangs/forepersons through daily briefings
  • Overseeing site paperwork and key administrative tasks
  • Planning and supervising operations to meet specifications and avoid rework
  • Monitoring cost efficiency and performance
  • Supporting and motivating teams
  • Building strong customer relationships

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in the surfacing industry
  • CSCS card and ideally SMSTS (minimum SSSTS)
  • Knowledge of asphalts, SHW standards and BS
  • Experience supervising teams and project work (motorway experience desirable)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commitment to Health & Safety
  • Flexibility for night and weekend work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
